9 People from Southeast University Have Been Selected in the Name-List of Globally Highly-cited Scientists in 2018

On November 27, Clarivate Analytics released the list of “highly-cited scientists” in 2018. More than 4,000 highly-cited scientists from 21 sectors in natural science and social science all over the world were ranked, among which, seven teachers including Wang Chengxiang, Cao Jinde, Lu Jianquan, Sun Litao, He Nongyue, Li Shihua and Yu Wenwu, etc. (nine person-time) from Southeastern University were enrolled, ranked at the 10th place among all colleges and universities in China with a larger promotion in terms of person-time enrollment when compared with that last year.

After the papers published by the scientists have been covered in the database, other research scholars may cite these papers by searching on the internet. These cited papers are referred to as the cited literature while authors of these cited papers are known as the cited scientists. If these scientists’ papers are cited for many times, the said highly-cited papers, these authors are known as the “highly-cited scientists”.

The namelist of “highly-cited scientists” has been published for five consecutive years and the cross-field category was newly added to the 2018 namelist, for which about 2,000 prominent researchers with highly-efficient papers published in several fields have been screened. Among others, three candidates from Southeast University (Lu Jianquan, Sun Litao and He Nongyue) were selected as highly-cited scientists in the cross-field category; in addition, six candidates were selected in the field of engineering, computer science and mathematics.
