The Vocal Performance of the Fifth Jiangsu Province College Student Art Exhibition, organized by the provincial education department and Southeast University Art Center, came to a successful conclusion. Southeast University student choir won the first prize of ordinary group. The student choir had won the first prize in the Fourth National College Student Art Exhibition. Their achievements served as a special gift to SEU's 115th birthday.
On April 16 and May 23, the preliminary contest and final of the vocal competition of the Fifth Jiangsu Province College Student Art Exhibition were held in the Jiao Tingbiao Pavilion and concert hall, Jiu Longhu campus. 146 teams from more than 80 unniversities, and more than 3000 students entered the competition. Southeast University Deputy Party Secretary Zheng Jiamao, Vice President and Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincal Musicians Association Yang Lijuan and other officials and experts were invited to watch the shows or be judges. Vice President of the Chinese Chorus Association Ren Baoping highly praised Southeast University choir for their good voicetechnique skills, command technology, works and artistic presentation and other outstanding performance. After fierce competition, our student choir finally won the first prize in Jiangsu Province and got the qualification for participating in the Fifth National College Student Art Exhibition.
