In the evening of June 3rd, the 115th Anniversary Gala of Southeast University was held at Jiu Longhu campus. The gala was hosted by SEU Center of Art and Performance and Students’ Art Club. Leaders of the university, including Yi Hong, Zhang Guangjun, Zuo Wei, Wang Baoping, Zheng Jiamao, directors of departments, alumni, and representatives of teachers and students, etc., watched the show together.
The varied and splendid performances displayed SEU’s glorious history, present achievements, and expectation of future. It aroused in the audience a sense of pride and a will to strive. Most of the actors and actresses come from the Art Club of Southeast University. Alumni, chorus of retired teachers, and chorus of staff also participated in the performance.
An the end of the gala, conducted by Mr. Xia Yu, alumnus graduated in 1949, audience and performers sang the alma mater of Southeast University together, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.
