On the morning of June 6th, teachers, students and alumni celebrated the 112th birthday for Southeast University together at the auditorium of Sipailou Campus.
The celebration meeting was hosted by Professor Guo Guang-yin, the party secretary of SEU. Professor Yi Hong, the president of SEU made a speech named “Keep going, push the trade and open a new chapter in the construction of a world-class university”. In the speech, he encouraged SEUers to hold together, keep innovative and make every effort to construct a world-class university.
A scholarship award ceremony was held on the celebration meeting. According to the statistics, 202 grant projects were accredited by Southeast University Education Foundation, 13,940,000RMB was granted to 3431outstanding teachers and students.The total amount has increased 11.6% in the past year.
Furthermore, more than 30,000 students in SEU got their meal coupons again, as to celebrate the university’s birthday together.
